DAISY Hill are hoping that a chance encounter will solve their bowling problems.

To date, the Association club have been dogged by a lack of variety among their bowlers and despite posting good totals, have never been able to bowl out sides.

Then along came Mohammed Sayed, eager for a game and after seeing him bowl, the club quickly pushed him into the first team line-up.

A club spokesman said this week: "The problem with our bowling is that it is all the same pace. Now Mohammed has come in bowling left arm spin and it is good for any captain to have a bowler like that so that he can vary his attack."

ATHERTON and Spring View, who tied their Cross Cup second round tie two weeks ago, will now play the replay at Spring View on Sunday.
