THERE was success for both the Bolton League and Association teams in Sunday's washed-out M.E.N. Knock-Out first round games.
The Association beat the Lancashire County League 3-2 in a bowl out, while the League triumphed over Saddleworth in a 1-1 tie because they scored first. More details will appear tomorrow.
The under 18s did not share the senior XIs' luck and were both knocked out.
Association were beaten 1-0 by Saddleworth, while League were beaten on the toss of a coin by Lancashire County League.
