WANDERERS' Danish midfielder Stig Tofting, booked and later substituted against England on Saturday, has retired from international soccer.
Tofting made his decision following the 3-0 battering at the hands of England in the second round.
The 32-year-old, who has been renowned for his tough-tackling and combative style, said: "I wanted to make the decision myself and not let the coach make it for me."
