Sisters say thank you with flowers
WHEN Wendy and Margaret Griffiths' mother died they were grateful for the loving care she had received at her residential home.
Now, they have taken the chance to say "thank you" to staff at the Old Vicarage Home on Ivy Bank Road, Astley Bridge -- via the Bolton Evening News' Bouquet of the Week.
"Our mother died after 10 months of loving care which was beyond the call of duty," explained the sisters in their nomination.
"We came to regard the staff as friends, and can never repay them for the way they looked after our dearest mum when it became impossible for us to continue to look after her at home."
The staff (pictured) were thrilled by this kind thought, and loved the bouquet which arrived courtesy of Caroline Ward's flower and gift delivery service (0800-289-335).
Send nominations for the weekly flowers (including the nominated person's daytime 'phone number) to: BOUQUET OF THE WEEK, Angela Kelly, Features Dept, Bolton Evening News, Churchgate, Bolton BL1 1DE.
