ADLINGTON'S MP, Lindsay Hoyle, has tabled a Commons Early Day Motion calling on the Government to provide extra support to the UK manufacturing sector.
The Chorley MP said: "Here in the North-west we have some of the best manufacturing industries and competent workforce in the whole of the UK.
It follows an unexpected increase in output, which increased by 0.8 per cent in April, while the trade deficit in goods and services was reduced.
The Chorley MP said: "Here in the North-west we have some of the best manufacturing industries and competent workforce in the whole of the UK.
"I want to see these high skilled jobs remain here in the North-west and in the UK and look to the Government to do whatever they can to provide a stable platform for manufacturing companies to thrive."
