MEDICAL staff from Bolton have swapped their wards for an action-packed course with the Territorial Army this weekend.
The medics are facing physical and mental tests in the North West Hospital Challenge 2002, and their ability to work well together under stress with limited resources is being tested at the Queen Elizabeth's Barracks, near York.
Staff are battling with 16 other hospital trustsfor points. Organised by 207 and 208 Field Hospitals, Royal Army Medical Corps, the competition is designed to give health workers and their employers an insight into Army life.
The event is sponsored by the National Employers' Liaison Committee and The Reserve Forces and Cadets' Association.
