FANS forgot all their differences on a triumphant day for England writes Chris Sudlow
This was World Cup soccer and everybody was united for once.
The White Horse on the A6 in Westhoughton is my local, frequented by Wanderers, United, Liverpool, Everton, Blackburn Rover and City fans.
It was packed, fun, with not a hint of trouble.
Apart from the goals, one of the biggest cheers was the moment Wanderers midfielder Stig Tofting was booked for a moment of ridiculous petulance.
The next was when he was substituted! I think Wanderers fans cheered the loudest.
The atmosphere was fantastic, the victory even better.
Just bring on Brazil on Friday morning!
