THE full programme for the autumn and winter season at The Octagon is:

The Royal National Theatre presents The Associate from September 10 to 14. This is the prestigious theatre company's first visit to the Octagon. The Associate is described as a new subversive comedy by Simon Bent about contemporary politics -- and wallpapering!

Hull Truck Theatre Company presents Men of the World, a new comedy written and directed by John Godber from September 16 to 21. This bitter-sweet comedy follows the fortunes of three long suffering coach drivers who are taking 30 pensioners to Paris. The trio have seen it all and done it all . . . so what could possibly go wrong?

The Octagon Theatre and Nottingham Playhouse co-present Rat Pack Confidential from September 26 to October 19. Taken from the book by Shawn Levy this is a world premiere of a new musical focusing on the Rat Pack.

Stephen Joseph Theatre presents Joking Apart and Snake in the Grass, both written and directed by Alan Ayckbourn. Old favourite, Joking Apart runs from October 22 to November 2, and Snake in the Grass, a new play, will be showcased from October 24 to November 2.

The Octagon Theatre presents Score, a new play by Debbie Oates, from October 24 to 26 in the Bill Naughton Theatre. It's Dingbat's fifteenth birthday and in the car park of a motorway service station, four boys fuelled with bravado swap their tales of sex, girls and scoring.

Find out what happens when fantasy makes way for reality. This newly commissioned play will premiere at the Octagon before touring schools and community groups.

The Octagon Theatre presents The Lonesome West from November 7 to 30. Valene and Coleman, two brothers live alone in their father's house after his recent death, find it impossible to exist without the most massive and violent disputes over the most mundane and innocent of topics.

Only the young priest is able to try to reconcile the two before their petty squabblings spiral into a bloody carnage. This dark comic play is written by Martin McDonagh.

The Octagon Theatre presents The Firebird from December 6 to January 18. A magical adventure story for all the family.
