A PEDESTRIAN was fighting for her life in hospital today after being injured in a collision with a car in Eccles.
The 44-year-old woman from Eccles was taken to Salford's Hope Hospital with serious head injuries.
Her condition was described by police today as critical.
The collision happened in Monton Road, near to its junction with Monton Avenue, at 11.45pm last night.
A green-coloured Citroen Xsara, being driven towards Manchester by a 49-year-old woman from Eccles, collided with the woman.
Police say the driver of a white van travelling in front of the Citroen may hold vital clues and urged him to get in contact.
