TWENTY students have flown out to the Far East to take part in the famous Taipei City Dragon Boat Race.
The team, from Manchester UMIST university, will compete against rivals from all over the world.
The race takes place on two stretches of the Keelung River, Taiwan. It includes a drummer who beats out a rhythm to spur on the rowers.
The festival always takes place on the 50th day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar.
