The angle of your spine when tilted slightly forward at address must be retained throughout the entire swing to maintain maximum balance and ultimately consistency for all standards of player.
As the game is a stationary ball game, turning your body around this almost fixed point will increase the chance of both your arms and club to return to the same point and angle that they started at address without any need for unnecessary compensations from the hands and arms through impact - a sure way to guarantee that the ball flies straighter and on a consistent trajectory.
Maintain the angle, even through to the finish to guarantee that you keep your shape through impact. This will allow both the arms and body to work together in the downswing, through impact and on to a finish. If you are one of those players who are always told to keep your head down, remember that the head is an extension of the spine.
