LEIGH Centurions are calling on their Red Army to turn Hilton Park into a fortress for the remaining six home league fixtures of the NFP campaign.

Since the re-start of the league following the Buddies Cup, the Centurions have hit form with three straight wins, racking up 107 points in the process.

Head coach Paul Terzis says: "We are now beginning to hit form at the right time of the season. The players are keen and competition for places his hotting up."

Crowds at Hilton Park had been averaging just under 3000 before the Buddies competition and the club is hoping the Red Army is mobilised to make the Centurions the best supported team in the NFP, better than Huddersfield and possibly Super League neighbours Salford City Reds.

Centurions' chief executive Tommy Cunningham says: "We have the best fans in the NFP by far. The lads are now playing the kind of rugby they expect to see at Hilton Park but with more supporters coming for the remaining six league fixtures and making more noise and better atmosphere, it will help the players even more."

Star full-back Neil Turley has an outside chance to being back in action at Featherstone on Sunday after recovering from the knee injury he picked up a couple of weeks ago when he crashed into an advertising hoarding.

"Neil has worked extremely hard to get himself fit in the quickest possible time," adds Terzis. "The big test will come this week when he resumes full training and full contact."

But Terzis has confirmed that once given the all-clear, Turley will resume at full-back.

"Simon Svabic has done magnificently as Neil's deputy, but he know's he'll be handing the Number One jersey back quite soon," reveals Terzis.

Centre Paul Anderson will also be back in the 17 for the trip to Lionheart Stadium after completing a three-match suspension.

"Paul needs game time and the only place we can give it to him is in the first grade side," said Terzis.

Anderson could find himself in the starting line-up should Jon Roper fail to recover from a bruised sternum.

Roper was Leigh's only casualty out of the victory over Sheffield. "Jon's confident of being fit, but we'll have to wait and see," Terzis adds.

But Leigh will be without prop Simon Knox who is still troubled by a back injury.
