WHEN it comes to underwear today the bottom line is that it's OK to show it off.

Bra straps can be on view if you want -- in some cutting edge styles, a visible bra is part of the look.

And knickers are now regularly seen, especially above low-slung combat pants or baggies.

Pop divas like All Saints originally championed the look, and Hear'Say's Myleene Klass shows here why it works when you're a style queen.

Of course, we're talking thongs rather than Bridget Jones' big pants here. That way, there is enough tantalising flesh on show, not acres of white interlock.

The key is to choose carefully, and co-ordinate.

High street stores like Marks & Spencer have got particularly pretty ranges currently, at affordable prices and including different bra types and a couple of varieties of knickers.

These pretty items (pictured) are part of Ballet's spring/summer range.

It's called Summer Rose and stockists like Whitakers in Deansgate, Bolton have found that it has proved very popular, with bikini briefs or thong included.

The "undies out" look is certainly very 2002.

But, a word of warning. Think twice about trying it if you are more than a size 12, or really do prefer those big pants!
