MOTOR enthusiasts will be turning back the clock in Bolton this weekend as a classic car rally heads into town.

Bolton Hospice is hosting its seventh rally and dozens of vintage or classic cars are expected to enter, including a magnificent 1914 Model T Ford .

The Mayor of Bolton Cllr John Walsh will wave off the motorists from Le Mans Crescent on Sunday as they start a 50-mile tour of the Lancashire countryside. Prizes will be awarded for the most desirable car and there will be a treasure hunt and motoring quiz.

The classic section of the rally is open to all cars registered before June 16, 1982, and all other vehicles will be entered in the "cherished car" section.

Anyone who is proud of their vintage or classic car still has time to enter. Contact Brenda Thornley on 01204 301544.
