FORMER MP Alf Morris, now Lord Morris of Manchester, is celebrating after the United Nations agreed to approve a call for a UN Convention of the Rights of Disabled People.
Lord Morris introduced the world's first wide-ranging legislation dealing with the needs of disabled people in 1970 private members bill.
And he more recently led a world planning group drafting a Charter for the New Millennium for Rehabilitation International.
