A MAN is recovering in hospital after a chip pan burst into flames early today. The 45-year-old from Crawford Avenue, The Haulgh, suffered smoke inhalation, but managed to get out of his ground floor flat before fire crews arrived just after midnight. The flat was badly smoke damaged and the kitchen suffered minor fire damage.
