DVD: Spider-Man -- The Ultimate Villain Showdown. Spidey seems to be everywhere at the moment (particularly in this week's 24:7!). And, if you needed any proof, this is a good collection of four epispodes from the animated TV series. Also included is a special bonus episode, Return Of The Green Goblin! Extra features include Stan Lee's Soapbox -- in which Spidey's original creator, a legend in his own time, gives a 20 minute interview; Spider-Man Rogues Dossier -- an interactive gallery of top Spider-Man villains where you can learn how they started out and what their special powers are; Stan Lee's Introductions -- Lee highlights his favourite episodes of the animated series. GAME: Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza. It may be 14 years since baldie Bruce Willis donned a white vest and took off his shoes while picking off terrorists in an LA skyscraper, but the game tie-ins keep on coming. This first person shooter is based on the original movie and the 40 levels represent a different floor of the Nakatomi Plaza. Not as accomplished as Medal of Honour or Soldier of Fortune 2, but it is a tenner cheaper than each of those, so makes for a decent value diversion. IS

ENGLAND: Having resigned ourselves to certain failure after that frankly pants performance against Sweden, the country is tickled pink (well, red and white, anyway) by the recent developments which have seen the boys go through to the next stage. Argentina are on their way home, and England are set to meet Denmark tomorrow, so just watch the streets clear of traffic and people as the clock edges towards 12.30pm. Well, after all, has there ever been a better excuse for spending all day in the pub? NM

WHERE: Once upon a time there were theatres full of civilised highbrow types who listened to Classic FM. And then there were pop concerts, loved by giddy young types who watched Top Of The Pops and The Tube. But times have moved on and lately the two have become barely distinguishable as a trend for "pop musicals" takes the West End by Storm. Cue Boy George's West End musical Taboo, Ben Elton's show based on the music of Queen, and now a forthcoming production entitled Our House, featuring, you've guessed it, a score made up largely of Madness tunes. Surely it can't be long before we see Phantom Of The Opera performed to the hits of Bucks Fizz? NM
