I HAVE just been reading about thousands of people all over the country who cannot afford to buy or rent private property, and have to live in over-crowded houses or sleep rough.
Now I see that David Blunkett is going to spend thousands of pounds on housing for the asylum seekers -- what a disgrace. They find houses for these people and completely re-furbish them. No wonder they keep sneaking into the country.
The Dome, which cost about £800m, was a disgrace. Now they are closing a lot of care homes due to shortage of funding, yet they are going to spend thousands of pounds to build up-to-date centres for asylum seekers. The powers-that-be are out of touch and want booting out.
