I REALISE that formal gardens are out of fashion.
But I didn't know that Haslam Park was being made into a nature garden, although I haven't seen many butterflies among the long grass yet.
The bees won't be able to hum among the flowerbeds either, only among the weeds.
A friend who lives abroad and came home for a holiday said she hadn't seen it so neglected before. But I realise this is the modern day thinking. It seems so sad and forlorn somehow.
Do the council realise that it is on a main road leading to the motorway of the Commonwealth Games at Rivington etc?
