FAMILY and friends of murdered prostitute Danielle Moorcroft have left touching tributes at the car park where she was battered to death.

Messages tied to lamposts behind Bolton Community College include references to Callum, thought to be the name the pregnant 21-year-old was planning to call her unborn child.

One said: "To baby Callum. We never met you to show you how much we cared. But we love you."

Another, signed 'Dad', read simply: "To Danielle. Sleep now. We love you."

And a card from Danielle's mother said: "To my beautiful daughter. I will always remember the good times.

"Heaven is lucky to have my little angel"

Detectives today stepped up the hunt to find Danielle's killer and said taxi-drivers could hold vital clues.

They are still trying to piece together her final movements in the hours before her death and have interviewed prostitutes and their punters in Bolton's red light area.

Det Insp Mo Shafiq, deputy senior investigating officer in the murder hunt, today said: "We have been given lots of information as a result of previous appeals and there has been an excellent public response. We are investigating everything they have told us.

"Anyone who was in the area on that night who may have information about Danielle should contact us."

Liverpool-born Danielle, who was 14 weeks pregnant, was found partially clothed with serious head injuries by another vice girl in the car park off Lower Bridgeman Street on Saturday, June 1.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Incident Room at Castle Street on 0161 856 5961 or Crimestoppers in confidence on the free phone 0800 555 111.
