BIKER John Phillipson intends to make a big noise for charity at Bolton's Albert Halls tomorrow night.
Heavy Metal legends Saxon will be performing in the town as part of a series of fund raising concerts organised by John, who is preparing to set off on a sponsored round-the-world bike ride.
Motorbikes have always been synonymous with rock and roll and biker John Phillipson has put the two together to raise money for the Rainbow Family Trust, a charity which supports the families of children who are terminally ill.
Tomorrow's concert is in aid of the Trust and features Saxon and Thin Lizzy tribute band, Limehouse Lizzy.
Saxon burst onto the scene in 1979 on the back of a support slot on Motorhead's Bomber Tour. The group notched up a remarkable number of hit singles and huge album sales through to the late 80s.
They have a reputation for being one of the loudest bands around and are still fronted by Biff Byford with guitarist Paul Quinn. Favourite hits include Wheels of Steel, And the Band Played On, Never Surrender, and Strong Arm of the Law. Tickets are available on 334400.
