BOLTON Over 45s inter-league team won the first game in the series against Bury with a close 111-107 win.
Bolton were dismissed for 50 runs with Hazel Shaw from Heaton CC scoring 15 but in reply Bury finished only three runs adrift.
Bolton did better in their second innings with 61 leaving Bury needing 65 runs for victory.
Bury, however, put up a brave fight and pressure began to tell on the fielders. But with victory in sight they lost their momentum and Bolton scraped home.
The Bolton Junior Inter league team play the Bury Juniors on Friday at Eagley CC. Team from: Abbie Mort, Heather Lomax, Amy Steele, Kim Heaton, Claire Chambers, Katy Steele, Robyn Dootson, Gemma Marshall, Jodi Worthington, Carla Hurst, Natalie Walmersley, Laura Nuttall and Gemma Boardman.

On Sunday the first of of round two will commence in the Healey Karwat and Dorothy Clarke competitions.
