FREEMASONS in Bolton are holding an open day at the Masonic Hall in Institute Street on Sunday, June 23, from 11am to 4pm.

Guides will explain the hall's handsome rooms and discuss the regalia worn at ceremonies. A tour of the hall's museum will also be included.

Dozens of charity representatives are set to attend, including Barnado's, the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust, Bolton Coronary Care Appeal, Macmillan Nurses, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Derian House hospice. The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Walsh, a member of a Bolton lodge, will also be there.
