THERE was no play in either of the weekend's M.E.N. Inter-League Knock Out Cup which involved Bolton teams.
But thanks to Bowl Out success, both teams progressed in to the Second Round.
The League side took an important 1-0 lead against Lancashire County League through Phil Ingram - vital as the first hit counts double in a tie.
But LCL drew level, only for Paul Rayment and Tim Barry to seal the Bolton win.
The Association played an even tighter Bowl Out but won having scored first.
The winning bowl came courtesy of Rob Faulkner, who delivered the third attempt.
Saddleworth drew level with their ninth ball, but no more scores were added.
