A PENSIONER died after apparently being startled by a passing lorry while crossing a road.
He was found unconscious at 9am on Monday in Bolton Road, Aspull, and died later at Wigan Royal Infirmary. It is thought he fell backwards onto the pavement. A post mortem examination has been held.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Wigan Traffic Unit on 0161 856 7074.
