TOWN centre security will be stepped up tomorrow in an attempt to stop a repeat of last week's violent scenes after England's World Cup victory.
Yobs threw bottles and smashed windows as fans spilled out on to the streets following the Argentina game.
Police chiefs today refused to rule out imposing a total town centre alcohol ban for future fixtures if the violent scenes return tomorrow.
England face Nigeria knowing that victory will be enough to take them through to the second round of the World Cup.
The game kicks off at 7.30am but crowds are once again expected to gather in pubs across the town centre.
Chief Insp Alan Greene, of Bolton Central Police Station, today warned troublemakers to stay away. He added: "This is their last chance."
Police are still studying CCTV images and video film of the disturbance in the Bradshawgate area.
