AN historic book which could change the history of the women's movement has been found buried in the archives under Leigh Town Hall.
The book, called Women's Worth, dates back to the 1630s and has been written by an unnamed authoress who writes about her beliefs that women are superior to men.
The find was made by Wigan Council's heritage officer, Alan Davies, who stumbled across the book in a vault in the town hall's basement.
