A MARRIED couple suffered minor injuries after an accident involving two cars.
Pedestrians Joyce and Ian Marsden of Cranford Road, Swinton, were crossing Bury Road near the junction with Bradford Road, Bolton at 4.50pm yesterday when the accident happened.
Mrs Marsden, aged 38, was involved in an accident with a white Granada-type vehicle which sped off.
Her 41-year-old husband was then involved in an accident with a Ford Fiesta car which was behind the first car.
The driver of the Fiesta Julie Neary, aged 46, of Cobden Street, Halliwell, was not injured. She stopped at the scene.
Bolton traffic police have urged the driver of the first car to come forward.
The injured pedestrians were both taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital and released after treatment.
