GUDNI Bergsson - Premiership footballer and qualified lawyer - is adding another string to his bow ... as a screen star.

The Wanderers' captain has started filming his life story, which is soon to be released on video.

"Gudni Boltonsson" will trace the Reebok favourite's career from the amateur ranks in Reykjavik to stardom as a record-breaking Iceland international and the impact he has had on English football, initially with Spurs then sensationally with Wanderers, where he has become one of the most respected captains in the club's history.

The film, a Wanderers' TV special produced by Peter Smith, will feature previously unseen footage from his days in Iceland, clips from his days at White Hart Lane and his action-packed seven years since his move to Bolton.

Bergsson takes a nostalgic trip back to Burnden Park and reminisces about his days in London as a friend and team-mate of Paul Gascoigne.

"Gudni's is a fascinating life story," Smith said, "and he speaks with great affection of his days with Wanderers."

What he doesn't do, however, is say whether this is to be his last season in Bolton!
