A FIRE at a plastic pellet firm in Leigh may have been started deliberately.
Fire crews were called to Foscolour Limited in Bickershaw Lane at about 5am on Friday.
It is thought that the fire started in paper sacks of chemicals in a store room. Firefighters had to wear masks to protect themselves against toxic fumes.
The single storey building was heavily smoke-logged and had to be decontaminated.
Police are investigating.
