BOLTON YMCA fencing club members Emma Crump and Sheila Wicks are on the road to success.
Sheila, at the age of 56, has qualified to represent Great Britain at the forthcoming Veteran World Championships in the United States. Two years ago she finished 11th overall in the ladies epee category in an international event in Hungary.
Emma recently competed for the north-west in the national championships, and is amongst Britain's top 50 epeeists.
Sheila is currently looking for sponsorship, and anyone interested in helping her in this way or in joining the Bolton YMCA club can call Colin Davis on 842899.
