LR erased lingering relegation worries in a dour encounter at fellow strugglers Flixton.
After keeper Steve Powell had denied former Rovers player Gavin Salmon, LR took the lead on 26 minutes when Chris Arnold nodded a corner back in for Wayne Briddon to convert.
The home team's equaliser came on 57 minutes when frantic LR defending saw three shots beaten away only for Nathan Comley-Excel to find a way through.
