A BOY has suffered a double blow after having two bikes stolen in four months.

Oliver Cuddy, aged six, was given a mountain bike for Christmas only for it to be stolen after he had taken it out on the road on Boxing Day.

After having it replaced, Oliver has had his new pride and joy taken from the front of his house by an adult who taunted him as he rode off.

Oliver's father, Tom, is angry that someone could take a bike that obviously belonged to a child.

He said: "Oliver was gutted when his bike was first stolen on Boxing Day because it had been a present and it was only the first day after Christmas.

"But to have it replaced and then stolen again just isn't fair."

The family, of Ashwood, Ringley Meadows, Stoneclough, have reported the latest theft to the police and hope that anyone with information will come forward.

If you can help, call the police on 0161 872 5050.

Mr Cuddy added: "We are going to replace the bike for Oliver. He's quite an adventurous child who loves to ride a bike so we got him one he could grow into and use for a few years."

"Oliver loves to ride around the street but at the moment he's having to make do with just sitting on the back of his brother Thomas's bike."
