LEIGH RMI will face form side Yeovil Town tomorrow without influential midfielder Dave Ridings as he suffers suspected ligament damage following a horrendoustackle at Stevenage on Monday writes Martyn Hindley

Ridings has already missed two months of this season with ligament damage and is likely to be on the sidelines for the remainder of the campaign after the tackle by Sam McMahon led to him being stretchered off at Broadhall Way. Ridings is part of an ever-growing injury crisis for Steve Waywell similar to that suffered at the start of a forgettable season for the Railwaymen. Striker Dino Maamria hobbled off in midweek with a recurrence of his groin strain, Neil Fisher is still suffering from aknee problem and Tony Black and Jamie Udall have long since been ruled out until the summer after both sustained ligament injuries.

Add to that the question marks surrounding the fitness of goalkeeper Mark Westhead (back) and it is a pretty sorry story ahead of the final home match of the season.

Leigh will undoubtedly be happy to see the back of a season that has seen them win just six games at headquarters but they are unlikely to go out with a bang against a Glovers' outfit, who would no doubt have been challenging for championship honours had they had a better start to the season themselves.

They have lost just two of their last 22 league games and with players out to impress ahead of their FA Trophy final with Stevenage next month, Gary Johnson's men will show no mercy in their quest to steal third place from Doncaster.

RMI have urged their fans to come out in good numbers for what could be the last time that Michael Twiss plays at Hilton Park in RMI colours.

The highly sought after striker looks to be on his way at the end of the season although the destinaton is as of yet unknown.

Leigh have never beaten the Huish Park outfit in three previous attempts in the Nationwide Conference.

Twelve months ago, RMI looked to have beaten the jinx but Town edged them out 3-2 after a superb battle in Lancashire.

Earlier this season RMI assistant manager Andy Farrell was sent off when they lost 2-1 in the West Country in September.
