LAST week I asked why Wanderers fans only get the urge to write letters to newspapers or call radio phone-ins when they want to criticise.
It was based on the fact that the Bolton Evening News was inundated with letters after the Derby game yet has barely attracted a letter during the excellent run of results over the last few weeks.
The article sparked just three letters in reponse - a fraction of the number who will write to complain when Wanderers come out of their good spell and have a bad run.
I FEAR that the moaning bunch of fans Neil Bonnar is referring to are not long-standing fans.
Yes there are critics but I just how many of these moaners are among the 12,000 fans who have been absent for the last two seasons?
The people that have been missing since we were last in the Premiership are to blame for the fact that we have had no money to spend on transfers.
Sam is the best recent manager BWFC has had.

I HAVE watched many managers come and go and none has been accepted by the supporters as well as Sam Allardyce.
The people I sit with, like myself, think Sam is God and should be made a Freeman of Bolton.

YOU will always have some so-called supporters criticising the manager. In Sam Allardyce BWFC have an astute and focussed manager.
He has not had the financial support that the majority of Premier League managers have but has proved that by using the loan system you can integrate topplayers and improve the club's chances of surviving.
This season has been all about survival and by staying up Sam will have achieved something a lot of people thought was impossible back in August.
I have supported Bolton since 1966 and in that time we have had three quality managers, Ian Greaves, Bruce Rioch and Sam Allardyce. We are lucky to have such a quality manager who has one priority - to make BWFC a successful club.
