THE smile is back on Marvin Hyde's face following his latest win after a bit of a bleak spell of not framing.
His latest exploit came in last Wednesday's Open on Dixon Green when a decent carp made the match his after being tempted by his red maggot offering on the tip.
This and a single skimmer turned the scales to 7lbs-13ozs. Old adversary Bob Fearnhead caught a lot of little bits to finish second with 2lbs-9ozs and third was Paul Sharples with little perch for 9ozs.
