TRAIN drivers involved in a row over the disciplining of workers are to stage three further one day strikes, their union announced today.

Members of Aslef at First North Western will walk out on April 22, 29 and May 6, threatening travel chaos across the North-west.

The drivers have already held three strikes in a long-running dispute over the downgrading and dismissal of a number of union members.

Talks to try to resolve the row will be held tomorrow between the company and union officials.

Previous walkouts forced First North Western to cancel all train services.

Aslef's general secretary Mick Rix has accused First North Western of "abusing" disciplinary procedures and imposing inappropriate penalties.
