Re-starting into the stiff wind, Leigh were pegged back to 21-18.
In a tense finish, Wright got back to smother an interception chance by St Edwards arising from a Leigh attack.
Leigh struggled when the team had to be re-arranged following an injury to stand-off Hudspith .
But they rallied to clinch the winning score when Lee scored a converted try for a final tally of 28-18.
