ATHERTON Cricket Club have been successful in a bid for funding from the "Awards for all Project" and part of the grant will be used to fund an Open Day for young cricketers, at the cricket ground on Saturday, April 13.
Children aged nine to 15 years are invited to attend, there is no charge, and the names of everyone attending will be entered into a draw for an autographed cricket bat.
The event will take place from 10am until 12.30pm, and participants should arrive from 9.30am for registration purposes.
