MORE than 20 Bolton mountain rescue volunteers helped in the hunt for a missing girl in Oldham yesterday. Stephanie Johnston, aged 10, went missing on the way home from a friend's house.
The rescuers used dogs to search the streets and wasteland near where she was reported missing. But just as they were about to head back to base she turned up at home. Garry Rhodes, who leads the Bolton Mountain Rescue team, said: "Everyone was very worried because there was a severe frost. She had been been out for 12 hours before she turned up."
