THE race for this year's Bolton Evening News Naps title hotted up on Week Two with four teams backing 20-1 winner Snow Shoes in the 2.35 at Kempton Park.

Farrimond's Bets, Gear Shifters, Fast Fillies and White Army boosted their chances with the long shot.

Two teams - Halliwell Anglers and Equineosity - are close behind after selecting Tender Trap, 16-1 winner of the 4.10.

Other winners included The Owls on 6-5 Fav Bravo Ragasso in the opening race, and Jaquie's Lot on Kootenay, 4-1 winner of the 3.05.

But spare a thought for Eaton Tappers. It's two out of two wins for them, but Naps experts know going for favourites doesn't always pay off in this competition.

The Tappers followed up last week's winning bet on 6-4 On Fav Double Honour with another odds-on shot - Kaieteur, easy winner of the 4.45 at 8-11 ON.

Two hundred teams are taking part in the Anthony Axford sponsored competition, with a first prize of £500 to the winners.

BET OF THE WEEK: Snow Shoes was the 20-1 winner of the 2.35 - and no less then four Naps Teams were on!

NAPS FAVOURITE: Pat Eddery steered 8-11 ON Fav Kaieteur home for Eaton Tappers, Gregorys and Paul's Piano.

BIG LOSERS: Red Liaison, the 7-2 Fav came second, and Miss Pinkerton (5-1) third in the 3.05 won by Kootenay (4-1), selected by Jaquie's Lot, were both popular selections.

And several teams were hoping Falcon Hill, an 11-1 winner for the Tenerife Four on opening day, would stage a repeat in the 3.35pm - but it's still running!
