A NEW travelshop and Metrolink information centre will be built at Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens in time for the Commonwealth Games.
Transport chiefs have agreed to provide £300,000 for the new shop which will be built in a pavilion building on the outer edge of the gardens, replacing the one currently in Piccadilly Plaza.
An additional centre will be built to provide Metrolink customers with information on the expansion of the tram line.
