THE first item, a really classy watch, is definitely on my wish list.

I have picked a selection of new products from food for the family to decadent items which would make ideal presents -- and if my husband is reading this, the watch is gorgeous.

GUESS has announced its partnership with crystal manufacturing company Swarovski and has come up with a very special, yet extremely wearable, watch priced at £90 (right).

With a mother-of-pearl dial, brushed chrome case and sparkling crystals, it really is a beautiful piece of jewellery.

It comes in either gold or silver bracelet, clear or pink crystals and is available at Samuels.

HADEN has introduced a new kettle to its range. The Haden Clarion Kettle (£24.99, pictured right) is stylish but extremely practical. It has a glass body -- you can see the water boiling -- and a 1.5-litre capacity. For stockists, ring 0161 947 3170.

BIRDS EYE New Zealand hoki steaks are a perfect "easy meal". This latest addition to the Birds Eye range comes in breadcrumbed or battered varieties.

By switching to hoki you will be doing your bit for the environment too, by giving the beleaguered cod a chance to replenish its stocks. They are available in supermarkets.

ELASTOPLAST has launched Scar Reduction plasters which aim to reduce the visibility of scars. Even if the plasters do not totally remove the scar, they should reduce it. They don't come cheap though -- £19.99 for a pack of 21 plasters -- but it is a small price to pay for scar reduction, I am sure. The method is simple. Just place a plaster over the scar and remove it every day, replacing it with another one.

The patch has to stay in place for at least 12 hours a day and must cover an eight to 10-week period. They are available in Boots.

MONTBLANC has launched the Meisterstuck sketch pen, an ideal tool for architects, designers, artists or anyone who draws or scribbles.

It comes in a leather pouch, costs £150 and is available from Selfridges and the Pen Shop (0161 839 3966).

TESCO Richmond Pushchair (£59.99) comes with all the accessories you will need, including a foot-muff and handy rain cover -- and it is suitable for use from birth.

The Good Housekeeping Institute has given its approval to the quality of the pushchair after rigorous performance testing. A great advantage when shopping, or getting on the bus, is the fact that the Richmond can be folded using one hand.

The pushchair is available through the You and Your Child mail-order catalogue. There is a delivery charge of £2.95 and next day delivery is available for an additional charge of £3.

ADERMA treatment bath and shower and bath oil (£9 each, pictured right) are a wonderful solution to extremely dry skin. Both products are hypo-allergenic and ideal for irritated skins. The products are calming and soothing. Available from Boots.
