I LIVE in the East Bolton Regeneration Zone and have just received the latest newsletter from the organisers of this wonderful incentive.

Many people are taking part.

They are improving their own neighbourhood by collecting rubbish, tidying verges, re-cycling waste etc, and we read in the newspaper that much money is being spent in East Bolton to revitalise the whole area.

One of the areas in need of investment is The Haulgh. East Bolton Regeneration has already promised to invest £80,000 to improve 18 large Victorian houses on Bromwich Street. Apparently landlords and owner occupiers also said they would contribute to re-vitalise the area. It now appears, however, that the landlords are backing out of this agreement.

Could it be that they think that the East Bolton Regeneration scheme is so keen on improving the area in the wake of Carly's murder etc, that they will be willing to pay for the landlords' properties to be improved?
