WORKERS were evacuated from a burning mill after flames tore through the roof.
Ten employees at Sealocrete, which makes building products, gathered outside Moorside Mill as firefighters tackled the blaze. Firemen used an aerial ladder and removed tiles from the roof to extinguish the fire in Church Road, Ainsworth.
No-one was hurt and no stock was damaged, said sales director Clint Walker. He said: "The fire service was brilliant. We were alerted to the fire by the smoke alarm and got everyone out straight away."
