THE first of 14 people arrested during dawn raids as part of a police operation to target carjacking has appeared before Bury magistrates.
David Godsell, aged 20, of Withycombe Place, Salford, is charged with stealing a £15,000 Volvo in Whitefield last June and a similar matter involving a £15,000 Mitsubishi Shogun in Prestwich last July.
Godsell was given conditional bail and had his case committed to Bolton Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on April 23.
