A HORTICULTURAL project which aims to train and develop people who have mental health problems has formed a new partnership with a school.
Bolton Association of Network of Drop Ins (BAND), which uses a gardening allotment in a therapeutic way, is to develop a site within Oldhams Primary School in Selkirk Road, Sharples.
As part of the scheme, known as the Four Seasons project, work will include making raised beds, a bog garden and wildlife garden. The project is offering an opportunity for volunteers in the local community to get involved with the new site.
Bolton woman Barbara Mills recently completed the Great Northern Run and donated the money she raised to the project.
A spokesman for Four Seasons said: "We would like to give Barbara a big thank you for her very kind donation and hope that she keeps fit to do other runs in future months."
