ELDERLY people will be partying the afternoon away at Brierley House Day Centre in Little Hulton to celebrate two decades of social care facilities for the elderly.
They will be honouring the 20th anniversary of the centre with a return visit by former Councillor Ivor Zott, who opened Brierley House when he was Mayor of Salford in 1982.
Live singing, impersonations and buffet food will also help to create a party atmosphere at the centre in Longshaw Drive on March 5.
Elaine Thorpe, day centre manager at Brierley House, which is run by community and social services at Salford City Council, said: "Almost 40 people a day come to the centre. They have lunch here and can take part in activities such as Chinese exercises, aromatherapy, games, crafts and quizzes.
"The centre has really changed since Councillor Zott opened it 20 years ago and so it will be interesting to have him back again to see the transformation."
