SAM Allardyce has told Youri Djorkaeff he has the resources to extend his glittering career.

The Reebok boss even reckons his backroom team can make the World Cup winner a better player!

Allardyce believes Wanderers' support staff is second to none and that the 33-year-old former PSG, Inter Milan and Kaiserslautern star will want for nothing in his three months in Bolton.

"Everything here is put on a plate for players here," the manager explained. "Every form of help is given to them - not just on the training pitch but off it. If they want to know anything about what will make them better, we know it. We think that only makes players better than they already are - even Youri.

"We can make him better than he was before and at his age it may extend his career a lot further than he thinks."

In less than two and a half years Allardyce has assembled a team of fitness coahces, analysts, psychologists, sports scientists, nutritionists and dieticians and boasts: "You name it, we do it. We cover every aspect of football.

"We can tell him (Djorkaeff) how many times he runs, where he runs; how many times he passes, where he passes; how many times he's walked or not walked. We can tell him what to eat at six o'clock in the morning, 11 o'clock in the morning, one o'clock in the afternoon and seven o'clock in the evening.

"We can tell him what pills to take and what pills not to take, what water to drink, what carbs (carbohydrates) to take ... we can tell him the lot. We do the whole thing."
