A PERVERT who sexually abused a girl over a seven year period is to serve 10 years in jail. Keith Jepson was already serving an eight year sentence for similar offences handed down at Bolton Crown Court in 1999. He will now serve a further two years in custody.
A court heard how the abuse started when he took the eight year-old to a secluded spot and told her he was going to teach her about sex between men and women. The abuse stopped seven years later. Jepson, aged 51, who lived in the Aspull area, appeared at Bolton Crown Court yesterday and admitted one charge of attempted rape and seven specimen charges of indecent assault.
Graham Robinson, defending, said Jepson had admitted the charges when interviewed by police and had spared the girl having to give evidence in a trial. The defendant accepted full blame and responsibility for his actions.
